About us and these terms

shadecentral.co.uk is run by ShadeCentral.co.uk ("we", "us", "our"). Our contact details are on our Contact page, or you can reach us at sales@shadecentral.co.uk or on WhatsApp on +44 7356 085630.

These terms apply when you use our website and when you buy from us. Please read them before placing an order. Our Refund policy, Shipping policy and Privacy policy also form part of these terms.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. These include your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Citizens Advice can tell you more about your rights.

Placing an order

  • You must be 18 or over to place an order.
  • After you order, we'll email you to confirm we've received it. The contract between us is formed when we email you to confirm your order has been dispatched.
  • We may decline an order, for example if an item is out of stock, we can't deliver to your address, or there's an error in the price or description. If we do, we'll tell you and refund any payment in full.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). If you shop in another currency, the converted price is shown at checkout.
  • Any delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay.
  • Payment is taken when you place your order.
  • If we find a pricing error after you've ordered, we'll contact you before dispatch. You can then continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Delivery

Delivery options, costs and times are set out in our Shipping policy. Items are our responsibility until they're delivered to you.

Returns and cancellations

You can return items within 30 days of receiving them. See our Refund policy for details, including your legal right to cancel within 14 days.

Product information

  • We try to show products accurately, but colours can look different on different screens, and frame and lens measurements are approximate.
  • Our sunglasses are for everyday sun and glare protection. Never look directly at the sun or at a solar eclipse, even while wearing sunglasses.
  • Dark tinted lenses (category 2 and above) aren't suitable for driving at night or in poor light. Check the product description, and ask an optician if you're unsure.

Using our website

  • You must not misuse the site. For example, you must not introduce viruses, try to gain unauthorised access, scrape it, or use it for anything unlawful.
  • Content on the site, including text, images and logos, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy it for commercial use without our permission.
  • We may update or change the site at any time. We can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
  • Links to other websites are for information only. We're not responsible for their content.

Reviews and messages you send us

If you post a review or send us feedback, you allow us to use it on our site and in our marketing. Please don't post anything unlawful, offensive or misleading. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Our responsibility to you

  • If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.
  • We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, and breach of your legal rights in relation to the products.
  • Our products are for domestic and private use. We have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when you place an order are the ones that apply to that order.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
